Skin lightening, or skin bleaching, is a cosmetic procedure that aims to lighten dark areas of skin or achieve a generally paler skin tone.
Nowadays most people prefer light skinned because they believe it signifies beauty and in some cases being light skinned is natural though some do make up to add a glowing touch for their skin.
However, Kenyan Comedian Mulamwah has taken it to the social media and is advising ladies with light skin melanin to avoid the use of the make-up.
Mulamwah says make-up should only be for dark-skinned women to make them look more attractive.
”Wasichana weupe tafadhali, wachaneni na make up. Make up ni ya kufanya mtu akue mweupe… Wewe ni mweupe kitambo. Wewe ni mrembo. Make up unapaka ingine ya nini?
Unataka hawa wasichana weusi, hawa ma dark-skin waende wapi? Unataka wapigwe picha ya X-ray wapost…? It’s not fresh. Ni kama index one amepata 90% na bado anaendea correction. It’s not fair at all… Achaneni na hiyo tabia.”
It’s important to note that Mulamwah’s girlfriend, Sonnie, is light skinned lady. So, maybe Mulamwah is coming out clear that he will no-longer entertain her putting on the make-up.
The two separate for some time before re-uniting their love once more.
